Who We Are
We are a church that is passionate to know and experience the heart of God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the center of all God's purpose for the earth and that our whole life needs to be centered on God and his love. We believe that God loved the world so much that he sent his only Son, Jesus, to die on a cross to take our punishment, for us, for all the wrongs we have done, enabling us to be completely forgiven, to have an intimate relationship with God, to receive eternal life, and to set us free from every kind of bondage in our lives. We believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, triumphing over sin and death. We believe that God has reunited us to himself through Jesus Christ and that He is no longer holding our sins against us.
We are a non-denominational, Spirit-filled, Bible based church. We believe God inspired every scripture in the Bible, and it contains no mistakes. We believe that prayer and worship is at the center of God's heart for us.
God is the center of everything we do and God is love. Our goal is to receive the love that God has for us, and give his love away to others. God’s love is what will truly change lives. We believe every person is important and was created by God for a great purpose. Our vision is to love people and train them to become leaders who will then touch others with the love of God, and in this way, all of us together will win our city to Jesus, transform our state, change our nation and impact the world with the life changing love of God.
God has given us a method to accomplish this goal called the G12 Vision. Basically, we are just following Jesus’ example. He spent 90 percent of his time with 12 people who he discipled. He loved them, served them, taught them, prayed for them and just lived life with them. Because of his relationship with 12 people, the whole world has been changed. In G12, every leader finds 12 people to love, serve, disciple and train. The whole point is to teach each disciple to have a love relationship with God, and really walk with him.
The disciples of each leader become a team, a close-knit group called a Life Cell, who meet weekly in homes and share life, encourage and support each other and work together to touch others. As each disciple grows and matures (which means they are receiving God’s love and are then able to love others), they begin to lead and train others, and in this way, they duplicate the transforming love of God into a whole new group of people.
The process looks like this. A person who doesn’t know God or his love hears about God’s love and experiences God’s love through a cell group meeting or through a relationship with someone in a cell. That person gives their life to God and comes into the cell group where they are welcomed, loved, taught and trained. As soon as possible they attend a weekend Encounter, where they experience deliverance from things that hinder them in their walk with God and they learn how to stay free from these things. They then begin to attend weekly discipleship training classes that last one year, called School of Leaders. These classes help them strengthen their relationship with God and train them to be successful leaders so that they can then help new people find out about God’s love and walk with God. When they are ready, they can start leading their own life cell.
When cell groups grow and new cells are formed, this means that people are coming to God, experiencing his love, being forgiven, receiving eternal life and being saved from hell. This is what God wants more than anything, that people would receive his love and be saved. Our mission is, together, to share the love of God with the world, one person at a time.
